The WABS team was fortunate to delve into the heart-pumping action of the 2023 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia's sand dunes.
Our journey to bring the audience an immersive experience was made possible thanks to l'Agence Dare. We worked with them in order to produce a 15-minutes documentary that provides a unique perspective on the rally through the eyes of Rebellion driver Alexandre Pesci.
Filming in the vast and unpredictable desert landscape posed significant challenges, from managing the extreme heat, rainstorms and sandstorms to navigating the rugged terrain. These conditions required meticulous planning and a high degree of flexibility and alertness to ensure high-quality footage all along.
From being stuck in the sand dunes for 2 hours, to the daily ritual of spraying down our gear, it was quite the adventure.
